I have found that keeping an organized blog schedule is essential; especially while in school. Over the summer when I really had the chance to spend countless hours on my blog (but really…) it seemed like it would be easy to continue on once school began. Now I see however that there are quite a few tasks that you must be on top of if you hope to maintain the quality of your work!
Write posts in advance. I do my absolute best to be at least two weeks ahead of schedule. I post three times a week (on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) which means I need a minimum of six blog posts prepared and scheduled.
Schedule posts automatically. If you use Blogger you can schedule your posts to go live at anytime. When you write a post look at the bar on the right, click schedule, select set date and time, and then click publish once you’ve put in that information.
Keep a calendar of when posts are going up. I keep my blog posts organized on my iCalendar. Along with all of my work and school obligations, I have a separate iCloud calendar labeled “Blog” so I can get a monthly view of what is being posted when.
This is the basic way that I keep my blog posting schedule organized and ready to go! If you’re interested in learning about how I formulate posts you can check it out here. Also, leave comments if you want to know how I organize my social media!
