Here is another face-off between two things that I really love: physical and digital pictures (check out the tough competition between Pandora and Spotify).
I enjoy organizing my photos, both digital and physical but lately I have been wondering which medium is really best. It seems quite clear to me that physical photographs are going out of style rapidly. I’m sure that the argument can even be made that they are essentially a thing of the past, but I still hold out hope that they will somehow stand the test of time.
There is no doubt in my mind that it is infinitely more convenient to share pictures digitally if you are not in person, but when I’m sitting next to someone I would much prefer to flip through an album rather than look at a tiny phone screen. There are however costs associated with printing your pictures. Although a few cents for each print may not seem like much, when you add all of it up there can be a sizable dent in your pocket.
If I was forced to make a decision of how to store and share my photographs, I suppose I would go digital. Luckily I am not being forced so I can maintain both a digital and physical library of pictures.
Do you still print your pictures? Do you embrace digital with open arms?
