I was flipping through the channels the other evening when I stumbled upon a special about an addition to Harry Potter World at Universal in Orlando, Florida. After seeing it, I was inspired to revisit all of the movies and books (which I’ve read a minimum of three times each and watched at least twice each). I am so glad that I’m doing this!

I distinctly remember purchasing the first Harry Potter book. I must have been in second grade and my father wanted to make sure that I could actually read it before buying it. The deal was I had to be able to read one page without any mistakes on the first try. I successfully completed this and walked out of the bookshop with my nose buried, ready to begin the adventure.
As I go through the books and movies again, I wanted to share some of the lessons that Harry Potter has taught me. Be on the lookout for a series called Lessons of Harry Potter about each book as I finish it!
