This monthly recap is coming a little earlier than usual because I now have more content coming out – my podcast goes up every other Monday, I post on the blog every Wednesday, and I still keep up with my monthly book reviews and life updates on Instagram. So while I’m not including everything from October (because there are days that haven’t happened yet!), this will give you a good taste and I’ll make up for anything I missed in the November recap.
We hosted a game night for James and Chrystalla and I am very proud of the board I made! I feel like I haven’t really developed as a hostess because when I moved into the city I only had a few months before covid hit and then we’ve been without gas in our current apartment for more than half a year (a story for another time), so we haven’t hosted much without being able to cook. Hopefully that will change soon!
We attended a family friend’s wedding and it was so fun to get dressed up and spend time with John and Christina too!
This month we celebrated our two year wedding anniversary by going to a favorite restaurant on the UWS – La Siren. It was delicious and a great way to commemorate the day.
I got together with an old friend from IBM for a catch up dinner and I got to spend time with Austen at an event at the NY Historical Society, plus we got Friday night pizza.
Joe and I had a beautiful first October Sunday in the city that included a food festival right outside our door.
I’ve been enjoying days in the office and delicious food!
I traveled to California to Google’s headquarters for customer meetings and it was cool to see the office and feel like I was in the movie The Internship.
Casey was in the city for a conference so we were able to get together and went to Katz’s Deli for the first time!
Chrystalla came to spend the day co-working with me in the Google office and it was so fun to have her there.
Joe and I went to South Jersey to Maddi and Dylan’s Halloween party and I’m sure I’m biased, but Joe’s costume as Kramer was the best.
How has your October been? What are you looking forward to for the rest of the year?
