December seems to have flown by! I was so grateful that all of my family stayed healthy and we were able to celebrate the holidays together. I hope that you had a great holiday celebration, no matter who you were with or where you were.
At the start of the month I decorated the apartment for Christmas and it looks incredible, if I do say so myself! The shelves and the fireplace really make for the perfect backdrop.
My brother Addison and I went to see the Nutcracker at Lincoln Center early in the month (again, so grateful for our timing because shortly after performances were canceled due to the covid surge). I had a great time with him and the show was beautiful!
Also at the start of the month I went to the NY Historical Society for a free even that was so good! David M. Rubenstein, an American billionaire and historical philanthropist, came to talk about his new book and I got a complimentary signed copy.
Sheetal and I went to our best hot chocolate place yet – it’s called MarieBelle and is in Soho.
I went with Austen to see her boyfriend Andrew run the NYC Half Marathon! That evening they also hosted a holiday party (talk about a full day) that was tons of fun.
Many cozy nights were spent in the apartment.
We went down to South Jersey for the annual breakfast with Santa that Joe’s parents host. It was so sweet to see everyone and we got to also have a game night with some friends and see the new Spiderman movie in theaters. When we came back to the city we celebrated Joe’s birthday by going to an omakase restaurant on the UWS and it was a great experience!
We spent Christmas in North Jersey and pretty much stayed at the house the entire time – we were just so happy to all stay healthy! We took a walk to look at the Christmas lights on Christmas Eve, played games, watched movies, and enjoyed each others company.
How was your December? What are you most looking forward to in the new year? Next week you can expect my annual year end review!
