There’s nothing like celebrating the holidays with your friends. I’ve been having a great time with this recently and wanted to share some photos from my recent get togethers! My wicked awesome friend Calea (who I met because of a sales competition) is studying abroad next semester in Thailand because she is so cool and amazing. To give her a farewell, we went out for Indian food and explored Princeton. Also, she just so happens to be a great photographer. Enjoy a look at our evening out!
We has a delicious dinner at Mehek in Princeton and would totally recommend checking it out if you’re in the area.
We also saw some pretty window decorations and had to stop to admire them.
Lastly we stopped in a church to admire the Christmas decor.
My friend Ally and I had a great time exchanging gifts, baking cookies, drinking hot chocolate and having the most Christmas-y day ever!
During Patriot’s Week in Trenton I went to a variety of events. The first was a reenactment of Washington crossing the Delaware River. It wasn’t as dramatic as I anticipated, but still a really cool event. If you go, I totally recommend watching from the New Jersey side of the river so you can greet Washington when he arrives!
I also attended a Colonial Ball with Ally. We had a wicked awesome time learning about the dances (or in my case standing in the middle of the floor with a look of pure confusion).
I also went to a reenactment of the Second Battle of Trenton. Once again, it wasn’t as dramatic as I had hoped, but it was fun to be up close and to visit the Old Barracks Museum.
How have your winter days looked? Do you like to go out in the cold or stay bundled up inside?
