Girl Crush: Ivanka Trump

Confession time: I’ve had a girl crush on Ivanka Trump for about four years now. In the beginning it wasn’t too serious; I just sort of noticed how polished and intelligent she was from her role on the Celebrity Apprentice. I recognized her awesomeness, but I wasn’t head over heels just yet. A little over a year ago, however, she launched ivankatrump.com and her #WomenWhoWork campaign, and I fell hard. I’ve been devouring the content of the site and its social media channels ever since and have read her book, The Trump Card: Playing to Win in Work and Life, which was an inspiring look into how she got her professional start.

Her site, which is part of the Ivanka Trump brand that includes a clothing and jewelry collection, is the ultimate destination for women who are passionate about their careers, families, friends, interests, and realize that blending all of these facets is the best way to make the most of their lives. Ivanka disregards the always slightly out of reach pursuit of “balance” and instead shows women how resisting compartmentalizing is liberating. Instead, she focuses on prioritization and holding herself to the highest personal standards.
