This Monday was our first wedding anniversary! I can’t believe a year has already gone by. It truly feels like only a few weeks ago that we walked down the aisle. Today I thought it would be fun to share a round up of the wedding posts I wrote and to tell the story of our wedding day through my favorite photos that have not made it to the blog yet. Get ready for many, many photos.
All of the photos were taken by Sean Madden.

The Story of Our Wedding Day
The morning of our wedding was extremely relaxing and unhurried. Joe spent the night before at our apartment in the city and I slept at my parents’ house. We purposely did not talk at all the morning of, so the first time I heard his voice that day was at the alter!
I had a breakfast of cinnamon rolls (our wedding day is National Cinnamon Roll Day!) and watched Wedding Crashers while my mother went to get her hair done. I drove over to the salon to get my hair done while she headed back home to meet the makeup artist. With Covid restrictions we weren’t able to go to the salon together and my bridesmaids (my sisters in law) were driving up to North Jersey that morning.
We got our makeup done at the house and things started going so quickly after that! We drove to the venue and met my father and brother who had picked up the flowers while we were getting ready. My bouquet was unbelievable 😍.
Sean and Joe arrived together and we started taking pictures right away while Joe hid out in another section of the venue.
We went into the garden to take family photos and bridal shots. I am obsessed with all of the greenery!
After this the girls arrived!! I was so happy to have Anna and Emma with me and feel lucky that I gained sisters when joining the Cori family.
After a few more photos, I went back to the bridal suite and Joe came out of hiding.
The groomsmen assembled and then it was nearly time to start! I wasn’t nervous, but once it was time to start walking down the aisle I was running. Papa had to slow me down and I felt more in the spotlight than I thought I would. We didn’t get to do a rehearsal (thanks, Covid), so this was the first time I was seeing Joe in this space and the full realization that this was our real live wedding hit me.
The venue was perfect for the guest size and it gave me garden, Downton Abbey vibes.
Mama made a grand entrance, then the girls, then it was my turn!I walked down the aisle to music from Downton Abbey, naturally.
The ceremony was amazing. My Uncle Keith was the officiant, Addison and Anna read experts from my journal about the first year of our courtship, and before we knew it we were married! We did a ring warming ceremony, which was a nice touch. Our parents each held our rings for a moment and blessed them before we exchanged vows.
We said the classic vows because we couldn’t have written more comprehensive and appropriate ones ourselves.
Joe and I went to take photos, our guests got drinks, and the ceremony space was converted into the dining room.
I had to reapply my lipstick because there was a lot of kissing going on 😘.
We gathered to do our first dance, father/daughter dance, and mother/son dance, before dinner.
The room had the perfect ambiance. It was intimate and it felt special as folks gave speeches and we had toasts and cake cutting, and all the great, sentimental rituals that go into weddings.
I love that we were able to take photos with each of our guests (this is just a selection!). We always were planning on a small wedding, regardless of Covid restrictions, and it was a phenomenal day with everyone.
After photos, we ended the night dancing!
Thank you for indulging me in looking at this very long recap! Once I started looking at the photos again, it was tough to stop. So grateful to have a beautiful wedding and be married to the best guy ❤️.
