Something has happened that I haven’t faced in quite some time. Anyone who knows me knows I love to plan ahead. I live by my calendar and everything is carefully scheduled and laid out. However, I found myself this past Saturday with no blog posts scheduled for the week! Life has been going at 100 miles per hour recently with finishing up the end of the semester and beginning my summer internship. I thought it would be fun to share with you what I’ve been up to and admit that this whole not-having-everything-exactly-planned thing is actually ok 😉
These photos are all prior to school ending. I was very excited to have the opportunity to cox again at my school’s Family Alumni Regatta (to learn more about all things crew, check out this post from when I started). While the boat of alumni I coxed came in a close second to the current team, I still had a great time! Those delectable s’more cookies were made by my friend Casey and I and were absolutely addicting. The pretty ladies in the bottom left hand corner and I were all dressed up for the end of year banquet for my business fraternity, Pi Sigma Epsilon (you know, the one I go to all the sales competitions with). I was dressed for the Great Gatsby theme, only to find out once I arrived that the theme had been abandoned; I was a proud flapper anyway. Kevin and I were all dressed up for another end of year banquet, this time for our job as Community Advisors (called RAs on other campuses). It was a great way to celebrate the conclusion of the semester with all of my friends.
Once I got home, I kept on the go! There has been a balance of relaxation (like picnics, exploring parks, and spending time on the water) and work. I traveled to Dallas, TX to kick off my summer sales internship with IBM and now I’m back, working in Manhattan. I’m looking forward to what the rest of the summer has in store!
What have you been up to lately? I’d love to hear about the fun you’re having and things you’re accomplishing!
