Warby Parker Summer Capsule Collection

I’ve been wearing glasses since 2013 (if you want a bit of a laugh, take a look at this throwback post I wrote about glasses, including a grainy iPhone 4 selfie) and I love the bookish look they give me. People really do think you are smart with a pair of glasses on, and who am I to argue? What can be bothersome is being locked into the pair of glasses you choose for quite some time (that is especially annoying when it comes to sunglasses as an accessory).

So what’s an elegant girl to do who wants to own a variety of sunglasses? Answer: turn to Warby Parker. Not only is Warby Parker’s brand so minimalistic and perfect, but the price-point is to die for. With frames starting at $95 you can make an investment in a pair without breaking the bank.

Today I’m partnering with Warby Parker to introduce you to their new Summer Capsule Collection and corresponding #seesummerbetter campaign (note: I wrote this post while listening to their See Summer Better playlist on Spotify and now I can’t wait for summer weekends to come our way!). My favorite frame is the Tilley featured in the main post image. I’d probably go with the classic Amaretto (on the right), but for those of you who are a little more bold the Grapefruit Soda color (on the left) is so chic.

You can snag a pair with or without a prescription. I do want to point out that if you aren’t close to a Warby Parker, some frames are available for at home try on. My friend who recently got a pair said that the wait time once she ordered felt a bit long (probably because she was so excited to get them haha) and that once she received them she needed to have them tightened, so make sure you factor that in and don’t wait to get a pair until right before you leave for a vacation!

Aside from the style and pricing, my favorite element of Warby Parker is their Buy a Pair, Give a Pair program. Warby Parker makes a monthly donation to their nonprofit partners based on sales, as well as trains nonprofit volunteers to give basic eye exams and sell affordable glasses. Instead of making a donation of glasses, Warby Parker is focused on creating a lasting solution through education and training. I can’t imagine living without proper eye correction, so it’s important to give that same basic standard to others. Style and sustainability? Sign me up!
