“If you want to know what a man’s like, take a look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals”
-Sirius Black
How true, right? The way a person interacts with those who can do very little for him is so telling. Does he make them aware of their inferiority or does he do what is in his power to put them at ease and ensure that they feel valued and heard? One of the hallmarks of etiquette is being cognizant of the comfort of those around you and etiquette is the standard by which I feel we should all be measured. This quote wonderfully sums up the idea that we all have a duty to be the best we can to anyone we come in contact with; and by looking at how others handle themselves with inferiors we can learn all we need to know about their character.
What did you learn from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire?
