I spent a while trying to figure out how to leave a clickable link in the comments on blogs. After all, we know how useful it is to be taken directly to a site when clicking on a link instead of having to go on a search. I usually find new blogs to follow through comments and I’m pretty sure that’s how some of you found my blog.
To save all of you lovely blog readers the hassle of having to search for how to do it, you simply need this code <a href=”URL of site”>text you want to appear</a>.
So for example when I leave a comment my code looks like this:
<a href=”http://alyssajfreitas.blogspot.com”>Alyssa J Freitas</a>. I put the title of my blog as the text that appears but you can repeat the URL so people will know exactly where the link will take them.

Leaving clickable links is a wonderful thing. I'm glad that is something you have discovered. I have found many blogs through that method and obtain a few visitors as well. 🙂

I have to say that leaving my links in comments is probably my biggest traffic source! I suppose when readers like a comment they want to hear more from the author.
